What is MQSeries?

Messaging and Queuing Series. Set of products and standards (developed jointly by IBM and Systems Strategies Inc (now Apertus Technologies Inc)), and announced in March 1993 for the development of client/server-type TP applications based on the MQI.

Provides a queuing infrastructure that sits on various systems in a client/server environment, and stores and forwards messages independently of the systems at each end of the communication.

It can provide a single interface across a range of very different systems, including
